Red (?) ballet shoes

This was the March challenge of . (now it's April though, nevermind!) Draw-Along is a unique group where you can only submit pictures based on a monthly reference. Since I am new to the group, I was looking forward for March's reference, it would be the first time I would submit something and guess what??! Red Ballet Shoes!!! I hoped they were joking! (they weren't.) Not only they are RED ballet shoes (which is a problem for a graphite person) but also I have never EVER drawn still life before. All my drawings include a character (fictional or not it doesn't matter!). I gave up instantly. Until yesterday that I told myself "Oh, come on don't be such a pussy!"
